Dear Friends

We have been so lucky with the weather for much of this month and have been able to catch up with pruning and tidying the garden after a hectic festive season. The Interesting Gardening Club’s annual AGM was held on 12^th January at the Salles de Fetes in Lusignac.  This was well attended and was followed by a fascinating talk by Michael Hickens on the work of Renee Lalique.  Members were entranced by the wonderful pictures of the jewellery and glass made by Lalique that had been inspired by nature. This was followed by a delicious ‘Bring and Share’ lunch.

Our February meeting is on 9^th February in the Salle de Fetes at Lusignac and is to be a ‘Gardeners’ Question Time’.  Questions should be sent by e-mail to Erica Laine and an illustrious panel comprising Mark Mallender, Patricia Hedley- Goddard, Gill Howl and Margaret Foreman will attempt to answer them! This should prove to be a lively and informative meeting and will be accompanied by a book sale and a ‘Bring and Share’ lunch.
